Good response from MSMEs for buying plots from GIDC

Panaji, Jan 4 (KNN) The Goa State Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) has received 179 applications for buying plots to set up micro, small and medium enterprises.
The plots are spread across 90 industrial estates in the state.

Some of the industries which have applied for the allotment of land are - Corrugated box units; food processing units; Ice Blocks units; pet bottles units; marine product export units; fruit candy and choco candy units and automobile service units.

The industrial estates in which the plots are to be allotted are - Canacona Industrial Estate; Kakoda Industrial Estate; Sanguem Industrial Estate; Cuncolim Industrial Estate; Pissurlem Industrial Estate and more.

 State Industries Minister Mahadev Naik said that the number of applications shows “surge in industrial investment”.

The Minister said that after the government came out with the advertisement for plot sale, it received good response. (KNN Bureau)
