Govt sanctions Rs 200 cr Tool Room-Cum-Training Centre in Rourkela: MoSMSME

Bhubaneswar, Feb 13 (KNN) Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Pratap Chandra Sarangi has said that the government has sanctioned Rs 200 crores to set up a world-class Tool Room-Cum-Training Centre in Rourkela.

As many as four extension centres will function under the monitoring of tool room will be set up in Odishas Berhampur, Keonjhar, Kalahandi and Balasore towns. The cost of setting up each extension centre will be around Rs 20 crore

The Union MSME Minister also informed that 226 MSME clusters have been approved in the country out of which 45 are in Odisha.

“I spoke to the Chief Minister in this regard. My department’s Secretary will visit on a mutually convenient date and make a Power Point presentation in this connection. The Chief Minister said that we will work together," he said while addressing the mediapersons.

Apart from this, Sarangi informed that around 6700 acres of unused land in coastal districts of Odisha like Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Ganjam will be used for developing brackish water aquaculture projects.
