Greater Chennai Corporation invites applications for skill development courses

Chennai, July 18 (KNN) The Greater Chennai Corporation has invited applications for the skill development courses being offered at its training institute in Royapettah.

The Chennai Corporation, through these skill courses, aims to impart training in jobs such as plumbing, fitting and others.

Only men between the age of 14 - 40 can apply for the training, while there is no age restriction for women.

A total of 184 seats will be available and preference will be given to the children belonging to the families of corporation staff and government staff.

The application forms need to be submitted at the training institute in Royapettah before July 31. 

Earlier this year, the Tamil Nadu chief secretary, V. Irani Anbu, inaugurated the skill development centre at the Tamil Nadu urban habitat development board’s resettlement site in Kannagi Nagar. The state government has been launching various initiatives in the state in order to impart training and increase the employability of the citizens.  (KNN Bureau)
