Greater Noida, Oct 1 (KNN)  In an effort to build awareness about the environment and at the same  time increase tourism, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is planning to develop a night safari, opening opportunities for small businesses.

The project is bound to open new opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises in the area, both from the business and service sectors.

“GNIDA is planning to develop a Night Safari in the city in order to create awareness about environment and ecology, to provide a source for recreation to residents and to spur tourism in Greater Noida.  It is being developed on the lines of open zoological gardens already established in China and Singapore,” said an official notification.

With tourism coming up in the area, which has already become a motor racing hub, micro, small and medium enterprises in the services sector will benefit.  The project when ready would provide opportunities for small units pertaining to textiles, food vendors, catering, lodging, etc as in any tourist destination.

The unique concept will allow visitors to observe animals and wildlife at night in the open wilderness, but at the same time be confined to specific spaces, equipped with proper illumination for night conditions.

Needless to say, the objective of the night safari would be to promote Greater Noida as an attractive tourist destination.

GNIDA is now seeking to hire a financial and transaction advisor to be responsible for project structuring, selection of developer and project management.  (KNN/ES)
