Gujarat CM Patel asks banks to resolve loan concerns of MSMEs

Gandhinagar, 23 Nov (KNN) Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat pressed on the significance of coordination between industry and banks for the overall development of the state, while addressing a meeting organized for discussing the issue related to MSMEs facing in scope of loans from leading banks.

The executive head of the state spoke about the situation of small businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic and banks are crucial medium of receiving benefits of assistance given by the Central Government, as per TOI.

He stated that the performance of the banks in lending finance is largely positive.

Speaking with the stakeholders, Chief Minister Patel suggested the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) to consider the issues raised by the industrialist and look for resolution.

One of the outcomes of the meeting was the assurance Gujarat government gave as a channel between MSMEs and bankers in order to create an encouraging platform for MSMEs.

The meeting was attended by Finance minister Kanubhai Desai, minister of state for industry Jagdish Vishwakarma, chief secretary Pankaj Kumar and representatives of the chambers of commerce of Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and other cities meeting.
