Gujarat govt invites bid for mining lease for limestone mineral in Kachchh district

New Delhi, Mar 2 (KNN) The Geology and Mining Industries & Mines Department, Government of Gujarat has invited bids for grant of mining lease for limestone mineral in the Kachchh district. 

Goyla sub block I & II are the name of the mineral blocks up for auction in Goyla village of Mokhra taluka in the district.

Nearly 75 per cent of the total minerals of Gujarat are produced in the Kachchh district alone and the major available minerals are White clay, Chine clay, Silica sand, Bauxite, Lignite, Gypsum, Lime Stone, Pozzolonic clay, laterite etc.

Gujarat currently operates 309 limestone mining leases that cover a cumulative area of approximately 14,500 hectares.

Limestone is one of the 38 major minerals produced here and the western state accounts for more than eight per cent of the limestone produced in the country.

Last date for purchase of Tender Document on website of e-auction platform provider is 24th March,2022 (on or before 17:00 hours (ST) and the last date for submission of the bids is 29th March, 2022 (on or before 17:00 hours (57).

The Price of Tender Document per mineral block is Rs 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh) excluding GST and bidders are required to pay applicable GST under Reverse Charge Mechanism.

Financial bids are invited in digital format only and technical bids are invited both in digital and physical format from eligible bidders. (KNN Bureau)
