Gujarat govt to start single window system for SMEs from June

Gandhinagar, May 29 (KNN) Gujarat government will start a single window system, to be functional from June this year, enabling direct interaction between the state government and the small and medium enterprises (SMEs), state chief minister Anandiben Patel has said.
 
While laying the foundation stone for the Skill Development Centre of the Federation of Industries and Associations (FIA) at the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) estate here on Thursday, Patel announced that the single window system would provide guidance to the SMEs in the state. 

According to an official release issued here, Patel stated that the single window system would be functional from June this year, adding that it would enable direct interaction between Gujarat state government as well as SME entrepreneurs. 

She also directed GIDC officials to develop an online monitoring system, so that senior officials in Gandhinagar can take stock of the latest situation of all GIDC plots or sheds across the state in order to make decisions for optimum utilisation, the release stated. 

Patel also announced that meetings would be held under her chairpersonship with industrialists who have put up plants at GIDC estates, in order to solve their problems, the release stated. (KNN Bureau)
