Gujarat MSMEs expect Rupani to have same pro-industry vision like Modi and Patel

Gandhinagar, Aug 9 (KNN) Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has allocated portfolios to his council of ministers. After dropping Saurabh Patel from the Cabinet, the three key portfolios handled by him - industry, finance and energy - have been divided among him, Nitin Patel and Chiman Shaparia, respectively.

Talking to KNN, the Vice President of Vatva Industries Association (VIA), Ankit Patel said that the industry expects him to carry forward the legacy of Modi and Anandiben Patel of having a pro-industry vision and working towards improving the ease of doing business environment in the country.

Talking about Anandiben Patel’s exit, he said, “She was a big helping hand for the industry but we cannot call it a loss for the industry because we still don’t know whether the new hands coming in may turn out to be better hand as well.”

Meanwhile, B S Agarwal, President--Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) said, “Industry only wants robust growth no matter who the CM is. Our purpose is to just serve the industry.”

“We expect Vijay Rupani to give an ecosystem which would be industry friendly,” he demanded.

He also said that Anandiben Patel was doing good work for the industry.

SGCCI president expected that growth is possible when the industry gets good policies followed by good administration.

“Vijay Rupani is a very dynamic person and we have huge hopes from him,” he said.

Vijay Rupani, a devoted RSS member since his school days, keeps a low profile and is known for hard work. He succeeded Anandiben Patel as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Compared to other contenders for the post, what apparently weighed in favour of the 60-year-old first time MLA, among other things, is his closeness to BJP chief Amit Shah. (KNN Bureau)
