British parliamentary group meets Gujarat CM to explore trade collaborations

Gandhinagar, Apr 13 (KNN) The Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel met an all-party British parliamentary group on trade and industry to explore possible future collaborations in trade and industry.

The meeting was held in Gandhinagar on Wednesday.

An official statement said that the British delegation praised Gujarat’s strides in solar power generation, waste-to-energy initiatives, and its strong logistics chain network. 

“Gujarat had become a preferred investment destination due to proactive policies, an investor-friendly approach, and robust industrial and logistics infrastructure,” an official statement said.

As per reports, CM Patel told the eight-member delegation that the best universities in the UK could set up their campuses in GIFT City.

He said Gujarat accounts for 15 per cent of the country’s wind and solar power generation. 

Patel assured the group that state would continue to adopt investor-friendly and proactive policies to ensure the overall development of the industrial sector in the state.   (KNN Bureau)
