Gujarat govt inks 18 MoUs for investment proposals worth Rs 9,852 cr

Ahmedabad, Feb 21 (KNN) The Gujarat government on Monday inked 18 MoUs for investment proposals worth Rs 9,852 crore.

Of the total MoUs signed, agreements worth Rs 5,733 crore have been inked with foreign investors, an official statement said.

As per reports, the Gujarat government is expecting to create employment opportunities for over 10,800 persons in the state.

Among the agreements signed, Garden Silks Mills Pvt Ltd plans to invest Rs 2,533 crore for a manufacturing plant for yarn and polyester chips at Jolva village in Surat district. Another agreement signed is by the Asian Paints to invest Rs 2,100 crore for setting up a manufacturing plant at Dahej.

Mankind Life Sciences Pvt Ltd will also invest Rs 1,100 crore at Vadodara and create 1,100 employment opportunities in the state.

Apart from these locations, Kutch, Ahmedabad and Sabarkantha are the other districts where investments were promised, the release added.  (KNN Bureau)
