New Delhi, Feb 25 (KNN) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter and Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala launched a Program to Accelerate Development for MSME Advancement  (PADMA) at Chandigarh.

There is a proposal to develop nearly 14, 000 new micro, small & medium enterprises (MSME) in 140 small clusters in about 6000 acre area in the state which will not only provide employment opportunities to 3 to 3.5 lakh unemployed youths but also bring investment for amount worth rupees 25 to 30 thousand crore in Haryana state. 

Information reveals, PADMA scheme will also promote the ‘One Block One Product’ scheme introduced in the state to bring national and international identification to products manufactured by entrepreneurs in Haryana state in different blocks.

While addressing, the Chief Minister disclosed that there are nearly 300 large industrial units in Haryana state at present providing employment to  between 2 to 2.5 lakh people. 

He said, nearly 20 lakh persons in Haryana are working in nearly nine lakh MSME units at present holding 23% share in the economic condition of the state. 

Dushyant Chautala said, out of 140 small clusters proposed to be developed in Haryana state under PADMA program there is a proposal to set up nearly100 MSME units  in each cluster likely to have  14000 new industrial units in the state in future under this program. 

Chautala said there is a proposal to make available 50 acre land to be allotted to entrepreneurs willing to set up manufacturing units in the state.

Chautala added there are a large number of entrepreneurs in rural areas in the state willing to set up industry but unable to fulfill their dreams due to lack of knowledge and available infrastructure.

In such cases, PADMA scheme will assist them to fulfill their dreams providing facilities like place to set up industry units, electricity, water supply, banking facility and assisting them in production, marketing, exports of products manufactured by them through mini clusters developed by the government. 

Under PADMA program government will bear 50 to 85% expenses to develop clusters and infrastructure in different categories providing 50% contribution to manufacturing units in ‘A’ category, 60% contribution to units in ‘B’ category, 75% contribution to units in ‘C’ category and 85% contribution to ‘D’ category units.
