New Delhi, Apr 16 (KNN) The Haryana Government is developing an Industrial Model Township (IMT) at Bidhal, Lath in Sonipat district under public-private partnership.

The project is being implemented by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (HSIIDC) which has invited bids for appointment of consultancy firms for advisory services.

The State Government has already initiated the process of acquisition of land at Bidhal Lath, Gohana District Sonipat and Madina in District Rohtak over an area of 3400 acres each.

The industrially backward blocks outside the controlled areas of the town will benefit from the development of township as it will disperse the availability of developed infrastructure in comparatively lesser developed areas, a communication from HSIIDC said.

HSIIDC has developed a number of industrial model townships, industrial estates, theme parks at strategic locations all over the state.

Prime among these are Industrial Model Townships at Rohtak, Manesar and Faridabad, Industrial Estates at Kundli, Rai, Barhi, Growth Centre at Bawal, Food Park at Rai and Saha, etc.

HSIIDC also provides a wide spectrum of financial support to entrepreneurs for setting up industrial projects.

The township is strategically located as it is closer to Panipat which is known for its handloom, mostly in the small and medium scale companies.  (KNN)
