Chandigarh, July 21 (KNN) The Petroleum Dealers Association in Haryana has called off the strike today after their meeting with the state BJP chief Subhash Barala.

On Monday, over two thousand petrol pumps in Haryana had stopped selling petrol and diesel to consumers over various demands, including lower VAT on diesel.

Petroleum dealers were upset as the Haryana government failed to keep the tax on diesel lower than that in neighbouring states. They were demanding tax on diesel should be lower by 1-2 per cent than the rates prevailing in neighbouring states. (KNN Bureau)
