The meeting to be held on January-10, 2014 at the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructural Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC) project site is a part of the procedure for environmental clearance as notified by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India.
Located at Sector 37 and Sector 3 Extension, the proposed project is covered under the ambit of Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) issued by the Ministry of Environmental and Forest and thus environmental clearance is mandatory.
Accordingly, HSIIDC has applied for clearance and hence the forthcoming public hearing will be held.
The executive summary of the project and EIA study report are available at the office of the Haryana State Pollution Control Board at Panchkula for perusal by environmental groups, bonafide residents and others. (KNN/ES)
