Panchkula, Dec 31 (KNN) As a part of industry driven programme for enhancing the employability skills of students, the Department of School Education Haryana is implementing the centrally sponsored programme of ‘Vocationalization of Senior Secondary Education’ in alignment with National Vocational Education Qualification Framework (NVEQF).

The department organises guest lectures through experts in the relevant areas as essential part of the transaction of curriculum. It proposes to enhance the vocational training content by adding video based curriculum to the content that is being taught to the students for the trades like retail, security, ITs, automobile, of beauty, wellness, patient care assistant, and physical education and sports.

Towards this, the department wishes to associate with experienced firms, institutions and organisations for development of “Video Based Curriculum and Courseware” for specified courses in the state.

The proposed plan under the NVEQF project attempts to connect learning and livelihoods in a model that addresses critical issues affecting the quality of life and future of high school students in classes 9 to 12 in an enabling environment. (KNN/ST)
