Exports from Haryana surges by Rs 149,190 cr in 8 years
Chandigarh, Nov 18 (KNN) Since 2014 the export sector of Haryana has expanded from Rs 68,032 crore to Rs 217,222 crore in 2021-22, marking a four-fold increase.
Crediting the leadership of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, the state government on Thursday stressed on the various schemes implemented by them to benefit industrial exports.
State has taken a quantum leap in its export graph and it has also gotten a new identity, said the Haryana government.
As per the official figures in 2013-14, Haryana exported goods worth Rs 68,032 crore, while increasing this by four-fold to touch exporting goods worth Rs. 2,17,222 crore.
“We are providing a conducive environment to the investors because of which the State has become a favourable investment destination. No stone is left unturned to facilitate prospective investors by taking care of their investments and other needs. State government's investment-friendly policies are becoming a role model among other states,” CM Khattar said.
Reflecting on Haryana’s trajectory at 14th position in 2014 to 3rd position in terms of Ease of Doing Business (EODB), the government official spokesperson attributed it to the radical changes brought about by the CM.
Furthermore, going a step ahead to create a more conducive environment for the industries in the state, for the first time Haryana has formulated The Haryana Enterprises and Employment Policy (HEEP), 2020, after considering suggestions from the industrialists of the state.
He further said that State-of-the-art industrial and Commercial Township is being developed on about 3,300 acres of land near Kharkhoda town in Sonipat district and IMT is being developed on 1400 acres at Sohna in Gurugram.
Walmart Vriddhi E-Institute has been started by Walmart in Panipat. Setting up of a Medical Device Park in Panipat and Bulk Drugs Park in Hisar and Food and Drug Testing Lab in Panchkula are among some of the ambitious industrial development projects being undertaken by the State Government, the spokesperson added.
