Haryana Budget Proposes EV Park To Boost Green Manufacturing
Chandigarh, Mar 18 (KNN) Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini proposed the state budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year during the ongoing session of the Haryana Assembly on Monday.
The budget outlines several key initiatives aimed at boosting industrial growth and improving administrative efficiency across the state.
According to the proposal, an electric vehicle park will be established for manufacturing electric vehicles and their components, a move designed to encourage environmentally friendly industrial development in the region.
This initiative aligns with the growing national focus on sustainable transportation solutions.
The budget also addresses labour concerns by increasing the number of labour courts to 14 in this financial year, making the dispute settlement process more accessible to workers and employers throughout Haryana.
In a significant administrative change, powers to decide on factory maps and license applications for industries up to 5 acres, as well as authority to renew factory licenses for industries up to 10 acres, will be delegated to the Additional Deputy Commissioner at the district level.
This decentralisation aims to streamline approval processes for businesses.
Under the Haryana Aerospace and Defence Policy of 2022, the budget reinforces efforts to establish the state as a manufacturer of defence-related weapons and other equipment.
For this purpose, 2,988 acres of land have been identified in Hisar, where the government proposes to set up industrial units focused on aerospace, defence, food processing, air cargo, warehousing, and textile industries.
