Haryana, NICDC Sign Deals For Hisar Integrated Manufacturing Cluster Under AKIC

Chandigarh, Aug 21 (KNN) The Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) initiative marked a key milestone on Wednesday with the signing of the State Support Agreement (SSA) and Shareholder Agreement (SHA) between the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT), the Government of Haryana, and the Haryana Airports Development Corporation (HADC).

As part of the partnership, the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) will assist the Haryana government in developing the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) at Hisar.

This project is among 20 being implemented by NICDC in collaboration with state governments across the country.

The Hisar IMC is expected to boost local manufacturing, attract both domestic and foreign investment, and contribute to India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Spread across 2,988 acres, the Hisar IMC is located near the recently inaugurated Maharaja Agrasen International Airport.

With an investment potential of Rs 32,417 crore and a project cost of Rs 4,680 crore, it is projected to generate 1.25 lakh jobs.

Strategically situated between the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors, the cluster has connectivity via NH-52, NH-09, rail networks and nearby logistics hubs.

The project is expected to create a business-friendly ecosystem, strengthen Haryana’s position as a leading industrial destination, and serve as a key driver of employment and economic growth in the state.
