Sonepat, Mar 18 (KNN) Rakesh Chhabra, President of Rai Industries Association, has welcomed the Haryana state budget 2025-26 presented by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday.

Chhabra expressed approval for what he termed an ‘industry friendly’ budget, noting that funding for the industrial department has doubled from Rs 805 crore to Rs 1848 crore this year.

In response to Haryana's stated goal of achieving a USD 1 trillion economy by 2047, Chhabra offered an optimistic assessment. " Although the goal is ambitious, I am confident it will be achieved well before 2047, considering the state's industrial growth and future opportunities," he stated.

Chhabra praised the leadership of the state government, saying, " The young Chief Minister acknowledges the significance of industries in the state and emphasises the need to promote their growth to drive Haryana's economic development."

The industry leader also expressed gratitude for infrastructure developments, specifically mentioning the new bus stand at GT Road in Sonepat.

According to Chhabra, this facility has improved transportation access in the city and enhanced commuting options for workers.
