High-Density Planting System workshop in cotton organised by PJTSAU in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 23 (KNN) The Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) organised an awareness workshop on High-Density Planting System (HDPS) in cotton on Wednesday.
Dr V Praveen Rao, vice-chancellor, PJTSAU said, "There is a need for high-density plantation in the cotton crop as the system enables mechanisation in planting and picking cotton.”
“The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model has been yielding good results in the agriculture sector. The PPP model has been more successful in rendering services to the farmers, “he added.
After the successful use of this system in cotton plantation, other crops are now being planted using the same mechanism.
Dr R Jagadeeshwar, Director of Research, PJTSAU, Dr Sudha Rani, Director of Extension, PJTSAU, Dr Seema, Member, Board of Management committee & Dean of Agriculture, PJTSAU and others representative attended the programme.
