Himachal Pradesh to implement e-governance

Shimla, Dec 11 (KNN) The Himachal Pradesh government has proposed to implement a capacity building and e-governance project in the state as a part of its e-governance initiative.

The state government will soon be appointing a consultant for the e-District project.

In this regard, the Society for promotion of IT and e-Government (SITEG), on behalf of state Department of Information Technology has invited proposals for selection of a system integrator (SI) for the project.

SITEG has the objective to strengthen communication and information technology network in the state by establishing, operationalizing and managing of state Wide Area Network (WAN).

The society has worked towards promotion of investment in Information Technology Sector (hardware, software and services-particularly ITES and BPO) and related activities and creation and upgradation of Information Technology infrastructure in the State.  (KNN/ST)
