Himachal offers GST exemption to Pharma units for 8 years
Sonipat, July 27 (KNN) The Himachal Pradesh government is offering big opportunities to the pharmaceutical industries with the State GST set nil for 8 years, Minister of Industries & Ayush, Harshwardhan Chauhan said on Wednesday.
The Minister said this during a visit to the Rai Industries Association (RAI) office in Sonipat, Haryana accompanied by Virender Dahiya OSD, Chief Minister, Haryana, as per KNN sources.
Rakesh Chhabra, President, RIA welcomed both of them and conveyed the views of the industries.
Industries Minister Chauhan reiterated the policies and schemes announced by the state government which are lucrative for the pharma industries.
Further, the Minister informed that the HP Government is offering land at Rs 1/- per mt and the power charges is set at Rs 3/- per unit.
Earlier this year in March, the State Government participated in the country's largest pharma expo and 17 agreements for an estimated investment of Rs 2,110 crore were signed on this occasion.
Himachal Pradesh is the only State in the country that is developing a 1,405.41-acre Bulk Drug Park at Una and a 300-acre Medical Devices Park at Nalagarh. (KNN Bureau)
