Palampur, July 1 (KNN) A two-day Himachal Drone Conclave is all set to take place in Palampur on July 4-5, 2023.

The conclave is being organised by the Department of Digital Technologies and Governance (DT&G) at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (CSKHPKV).

This event aims to explore the diverse applications of drone technology in various sectors viz: governance, law enforcement, disaster management, agriculture and forest management, tourism, infrastructure development & management and exploring career opportunities in the emerging field, said an official spokesperson of the DT&G. 

As per reports, Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will preside over the inaugural session of the conclave.

During the inaugural session topics such as the current scenario of drone technology in Himachal Pradesh, and the role of drone technology in governance will be highlighted.  

Key topics to be discussed at the conclave include the application of drones in border areas and unrest-prone places, night surveillance, target identification, search and rescue operations during disasters amongst others.

Other key topics to be discussed include the applications of drones in agriculture, horticulture, and forest management.
