HP govt approves 7 new industrial proposals and expansion of 15 existing units

Shimla, Sept 7 (KNN) The Himachal Pradesh government has approved seven new industrial proposals and expansion of 15 existing units with a proposed investment of approximately Rs 784 crore and employment opportunities for around 1,558 persons.
 
The state-level Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority gave the nod here on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.
 
The new proposals include Paras Spices, which has proposed to invest Rs 3,892.64 lakh for setting up cold storage with employment potential for 118 persons, and Birla Textile Mills (unit II), which has proposed to invest Rs 20,067 lakh with employment potential for 195 persons for manufacture of cotton synthetic and blended yarn. Shoghi Agrotech Private Limited has proposed to invest Rs 128.52 lakh for manufacturing wheat products with employment potential for 33 persons and Indian Oil Corporation Limited has proposed to invest Rs 20,000 lakh with employment potential for 130 persons.
 
For expansion the companies that got approvals are - Pidilite Industries Limited (IV) with proposed investment of Rs 11,181 lakh for manufacture of RCC pipes, RCC manholes and other cement-based products, adhesive solvent base and adhesive water base. The project will have employment potential for 135 persons. Livgurad Batteries Private Limited has proposed to invest Rs 2,750 lakh for manufacture of battery plats and lead acid batteries for automotive and other applications with employment potential for 190 persons.
