HSIIDC seeks consultant for management of leather cluster

Chandigarh, Jun 4 (KNN)  The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC) has extended the date for proposals from Project Management Consultants (PMC) to support the development of a leather cluster in Mewat.
 
The consultant would carry out appropriate studies and prepare necessary documents including capacity building to support cluster development.
 
As mentioned in the previous official notification, the applicants for PMC must have annual turnover of Rs 25 crore for the last three years and should have presence in Haryana or Union Territory Chandigarh.     
 
The cluster will be developed over an area of about 105.64 acres.
 
The Haryana government has so far set up 10 industrial clusters which include Technology Park at IMT, Manesar, Apparel Park at Barhi and Food Park at Saha.
 
“These centres would address the common needs of the MSMEs in the areas of R and D, technology up-gradation support, standardization of products, quality, designing and marketing initiative with promotion of branding of products,” the notification said.  

The Industrial and Investment Policy 2011 of the state of Haryana recognizes the clusters based approach as a sustainable, cost effective and inclusive strategy to ensure manufacturing competitiveness of the local industry and to encourage the development of ancillaries, according to HSIIDC.  (KNN)
