ICC organises five-day Women’s Business Mela in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, May 5 (KNN) Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Women’s Entrepreneurship Council (IWEC) is hosting a five-day Women’s Business Mela from May 4-8 in Bhubaneswar.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the event on Wednesday and applauded the council for achieving the 100+ member milestone set by him in January 2020.
Highlighting the contribution of women entrepreneurs of Odisha he hoped to see IWEC grow into a 500 strong entrepreneurial group.
Speaking on the occasion, Arun Kumar Sahoo, Minister of Higher Education emphasised on
policies initiated by the state government to of to empower women.
The aim is to create an inclusive economy where women participation is greater, he added.
Chairman ICC Odisha, J B Pany credited the efforts made by ICC Odisha and the leadership shown in fostering entrepreneurship among women.
The mela is solely dedicated to women entrepreneurs and over 150 stalls are set up by women-led businesses.
The event features daily business seminars that are highly informative for women entrepreneurs and is supported by the Government of Odisha, MSME-DI Cuttack and various corporate houses. (KNN Bureau)
