According to an official statement from the association, it has taken up a project to conduct comprehensive tehsil-level industrial survey for setting up MSMEs in UP.

“Its objective is to identify areas and opportunities based upon locally available raw materials, skills and labour to boost business,” said IIA.

Emphasising on the productivity in agriculture, horticulture and animal resources, IIA said that these areas have huge potential for setting up food processing and handicraft industries at the tehsil level.

In rural areas these sectors can provide further boost to jobs and revenue generation.

It will also improve quality of life in villages and not force youth to migrate to urban areas.

To encourage business development IIA would host the UP Udyami Mahasammelan in the first week of November.  (KNN Bureau)
