IIE to train MSMEs & entrepreneurs to make minor forest produce into value added products in Peren, Nagaland

Kohima, Feb 25 (KNN) The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) Guwahati, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship is conducting a one month training programme for MSMEs and entrepreneurs to help them in making various regionally available local minor forest product into value added and exotic product in Peren district of Nagaland. 

Various skillsets will be imparted during the training which includes baking skills, food processing, marketing including traditional and bamboo craft.

Dr. M Chuba Ao, Chairman of Nagaland State Co-operative Marketing & Consumers' Federation Ltd., popularly known as MARCOFED visited HAAT Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVK) Jalukie town for the event.

“People should not knock on government office and seek job but should be a job giver and give livelihood to others, neighbours and villagers,” he said.

He also appeal and encourage the Van Dhan members to rear or produce as per the demand of market but not for self-interest.

Ao further urged those experts in weaving, wood and bamboo craft and are not member of van dhan to join the VDVK and make their products more valuable and marketable by streamlining their products to proper channel. (KNN Bureau)
