IIFL Foundation, Indian Army collaborate to launch retail skill development programme in J&K

Srinagar, Aug 3 (KNN) The IIFL Foundation in association with the Indian Army has launched a retail skill development programme to train 180 people in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.

IIFL Foundation on Wednesday announced that the Research and Extension Association for Conservation Horticulture and Agro-forestry (REACHA) will also be part of the collaboration.

The certification for the 1 year long programme will be provided by the retailers Association’s Skill Council of India (RASCI) under the ‘Skill India’ initiative.

The 12-month long course will have various modules focusing on work related training customised as per RASCI and soft skill training focused on grooming. It will include training on dress code, communication skills, resume making and confidence building.

“We are thankful to the Indian Army, REACHA and the local community for supporting this initiative. We will continue to support skill development and training initiatives with focus on employment for youths in Kashmir,” IIFL Foundation Director Madhu Jain added.  (KNN Bureau)
