Illegal encroachment of SIDCO land disturbing industrial activities in Bari Brahmana Industrial Complex: BBIA

New Delhi, Aug 31 (KNN) MSME body, Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has appealed the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir and other state authorities to remove encroachment of SIDCO land at Bari Brahmana Industrial Complex as it is creating major problems pertaining to construction works in the area.

Raising concerns over this matter, the association said that some people have illegally erected temporary shelters on the land due to which construction work of the SIDCO as well as unit holders to whom land was allotted by SIDCO by investing huge amount has come to halt.

The matter was discussed in a meeting of BBIA under the chairmanship of Lalit Mahajan in the presence of Suresh Mahajan (Vice President), Ajay Langer (General Secretary), and Viraaj Malhotra (Treasurer).

During the course of discussions, Mahajan said “the position is more serious as the stray animals are openly moving in the Industrial Complex which creates Traffic hurdles, damage to the SIDCO Infrastructure is being done and we fear that any fatal accident may take place at any time.”

He said that the matter was already brought into the notice of SIDCO Management but they have shown their helplessness as the District Administration has failed to take any action in spite of repeated request & reminders by SIDCO authorities to the Deputy Commissioner Samba & concerned Revenue Officials.

The association has appealed the Governor Satya Pal Malik to intervene into the matter & issue immediate orders to Divisional Commissioner, Jammu & Deputy Commissioner Samba to provide all sorts of help to the J&K SIDCO authorities for the removal of the illegal structures from the SIDCO Land.
