"When we say Make in India, we want to tell the world there are ample opportunities in India, don't only consider us to be a market," Modi said.
The concept of Make in India is a win-win situation. Let’s give impetus to manufacturing where there is scope of export too, he said.
More than 20 countries including Australia, Canada and South Africa are taking part in the two-day summit.
Modi called for investments to Madhya Pradesh from business leaders from across the world. "The world must know that the state of Madhya Pradesh has been growing rapidly in the last few years. MP is the first state to make a defence manufacturing policy," he said.
He also emphasized the need to create jobs. "We have to create maximum jobs. This is a nation of the youth. Agriculture, industry and services have to get equal importance."
Value addition in agriculture, focus on infrastructure will help the farmers immensely, he said.
Further, “MP is making two electronic estates to make Digital India a reality. See how Centre and States can work together for progress,” he said.
“We launched Jan Dhan Yojana and MP made it their own! Immediately they moved ahead with it,” the Prime Minister added. (KNN/SD)
