Industrial park to be ready soon in AP: COWE

Hyderabad, Sep 22 (KNN) In a bid to develop an industrial park here, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has sanctioned Integrated Infrastructural Development (IID) scheme, to be implemented by Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), according to COWE.

“The MSME, Government of India sanctioned IID Scheme to develop our industrial park.  APIIC is our implementing agency.  And I hope that within one year half of the industries will be constructed, said President of Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) Soudhamini in their annual general meeting held today.

Further, COWE would organize an awareness program on cluster development on October 4 and a vendor development program at National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) Business Park, she said.   

COWE is working towards expanding its foot print to other states and countries.  Toward this, it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up branch in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. 

It also started its first Entrepreneurship Skill Development Program (ESDP), where 150 people will undergo 45 day training program in web designing, computer hardware, networking etc.

Meanwhile, it is associating with quantum leaps and WEConnect in a survey on medium and large women-owned businesses.

WEConnect international aims to connect women owned enterprises to big corporations under its special programs. (KNN/GUNJ)
