Mohali, Dec 24 (KNN) The city based micro and small entrepreneurs, who have their unit in SAS Nagar area, have been asked by the Punjab High Court to shift their units since it's a residential area.

Giving some relief to the MSEs, the court, however, has given them a time frame of 18 months to relocate their units.

The entrepreneurs have hailed the court’s decision to give them one and a half year time frame but have asked for adequate compensation from the government.

President of Mohali Industries Association, Anurag Aggarwal, told KNN that the units that are located in this area are extremely small in size. “They are ready to shift their units. They also hail the court’s decision to give 18 months time but the government should also provide adequate compensation to them for rehabilitating.”

The industrial units are located in mixed land use/residential sectors in villages Balongi, Daon, Badmajra, Landran and Saneta falling under GMADA in Mohali. Around 47 industries are functioning at this time. (KNN Bureau)
