Industry body seeks activation of divisional level MSEFC in UP

Lucknow, July 7 (KNN) The Indian Industries Association (IIA) has urged the MSME Minister of Uttar Pradesh Rakesh Sachan to start the Micro and Small Enterprise Facilitation Council (MSEFC) at division level to help micro and small industries settle up their pending payments.

Ashok Agarwal, National President of IIA met the minister on Wednesday and requested him to activate divisional-level MSEFC.

Accompanied by his team, Agarwal raised the issue of non-availability of land for setting up industries in the state.

Assuring an earliest resolution to the industrial body, the Minister asserted that MSMEs are crucial in making UP USD 1 trillion economy.

The MSME Minister said that he would examine the issue of non-availability of land and further have a discussion with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the same.

He said that vacant industrial lands will be identified on priority basis and will be allotted to MSMEs to set up units.  (KNN Bureau)
