Industry cell inaugurated at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, Dec 8 (KNN) Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU), President S Upkar Singh Ahuja has inaugurated the industry cell at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering (GNE) college here.

Ahuja in his speech mentioned that Industry cell initiated by GNE College will help to solve industrial problems, mainly of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) units of the region by involving industrial personnel, faculty, staff and students of undergraduate, post graduate and research programs of the institute from all disciplines.

''The main objective of this industry cell to promote scientific, engineering and technologically viable, innovative, sustainable and unique acceptable low cost and affordable solutions for day to day problems and to provide the locally available scientific, engineering and technical help to the industry to cater and cope up with the futuristic market scenario,'' he added.

He further said that it would also work as a platform to students to inculcate entrepreneurship for their dream projects.

Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU highlighted that the industry cell will form the teams consisting of the industrial personnel, faculty, staff and students to achieve the targets within stipulated time.

''It will monitor the operation of teams, provide requisite additional guidance and arrange resources & facilities needed,'' he added.
