Jammu industries assured of infra upgradation

Jammu, Apr 17 (KNN)  Joint Development Commissioner, MSME, Government of India, S R Samuel who visited Bari Brahmana Industries Association recently assured the industry body of upgradation of existing industries’ infrastructure.
 
Samuel also advised the entrepreneurs to take benefits of all MSME Schemes such as cluster development, common testing facilities and national awards etc.
 
The JD Commissioner visited the association to review the progress of IID project which was sanctioned by MSME, GOI for upgradation of existing infrastructure including lanes, drains, street lighting, water supply, etc in the Bari Brahmana Industrial Complex.
 
During the interaction, President Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), Annil Suri highlighted the various issues related to the industrial sector which included further prioritization of different jobs to be undertaken in the already sanctioned infrastructure development (IID) scheme for Bari Brahmana Industrial Complex, national awards selection for J&K Industries, purchase preference to MSME sector in Government of India enterprises purchases, extension of incentives to service sector industries, etc.   
 
Samuel assured the association that he would look into the issues raised. While there, he paid a visit to two units - Ashwani Crockery Industry and Shalimar Floorings Pvt Ltd, expressing appreciation over the quality of products being manufactured there.
 
Other officials present on the occasion were, Director MSME DI, Jammu, Varinder Sharma, General Manger, JKSIDCO, Vikram Gupta, GM DIC, Jammu, R K Thappa, Vice President, BBIA, Rahul Bansal, General Secretary, BBIA, Lalit Mahajan,  and officers of various departments of MSME (GOI) and State Government and J&K SIDCO.  (KNN/ES)
