Jammu MSME resents unscheduled power cuts

Jammu, Jun 16 (KNN) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has expressed strong resentment over the unscheduled power cuts being imposed by the Power Development Department (PDD) authorities in the Industrial area.

In this regard, Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), on Monday, held a meeting to discuss the issue of frequent unscheduled power cuts in the Industrial complex, Bari Brahmana for the last about 15 days.

The members raised serious concern over unscheduled power cuts and said that industrial units engaged in the manufacturing of plastic goods, steel and other products are suffering.

They also said that the industrial sector is also manufacturing essential goods in the state and also paying power dues on time but PDD has failed to supply the quality power resulting in great resentment amongst the unit holders.

Later, BBIA appealed to the Baseer Ahmad Khan, Advisor to Lt. Governor, Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary, Power Development Department, Yasha Mudgal, Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited to intervene into the matter and issue necessary directions to the officials concerned to ensure the uninterrupted power supply to Industrial sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
