Jammu, Feb 3 (KNN) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on Tuesday urged the state tax department to accept hard copies of the reimbursement claims for State Goods and Services Tax (SGST), Central Goods and Services (CGST).

During an awareness programme which was organised by the Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), Lalit Mahajan, Chairman, Federation of Industries Jammu said,'' Since, it is a new concept for filing online reimbursement claims, department should accept hard copies of the claim and also for the QE December 2020 to avoid online rejection due to any deficiency.''

While speaking on the occasion, Neeraj Sharma, State Taxes Officer, appreciated the steps by the BBIA to educate the industrial fraternity & requested the unit holders to register themselves on State Tax Department portal and file reimbursement claims for QE December 2020 onward for SGST/CGST and Budgetary Support.

Meanwhile, Mahajan, in his presidential remarks conveyed heartiest thanks to Arun Kumar Mehta, IAS, Financial commissioner, Finance Department,  P K Bhat (KAS), Commissioner, State Taxes Department Jammu, Rift Kohli (KAS), Additional Commissioner State Taxes Department and other officials of the department for the Introduction of online submission of reimbursement claims to provide the hassle free facility to the industrial units.
