Jharkhand govt & ASIA to organize mega event for development of industries

New Delhi, Nov 22 (KNN) Jharkhand government in partnership with Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA) is gearing up to organize mega event for the development of industries located in Adityapur Industrial Area.

The event titled ‘Vendor Development Programmein the Railway & Defence Sector’ will be held on December 19 and 20 at Adityapur Auto Cluster.

Several high profile industrialists, officers of both the sectors will participate in the event.

The event will be led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

Recently Adityapur industrial area development authority (AIADA) embarked on a plan to carry study on prospects of defence manufacturing items in Adityapur Development area.

Industrialist A.K Sinha said they are carrying study of prospects.

The defence budget for procurement is 40 billion US dollar. If 40 per cent of it is supplied by indigenous companies we can avoid dependability from outside, he added.

Morever, the government’s new Defence Procurement Policy (DPP) which has been designed to suit some very basic needs of Indian Army gives greater flexibility to domestic industry for participating in defence order, Sinha said.

He said that it may be noted that the sprawling Adityapur Industrial Area houses 1200 units- including 11 large-scale, 64 small scale and 166 tiny industries.

A few important industries that have global presence are Usha Martin Group, RSB Group, Tata Steel Growth Shop (TGS) etc., too situated in this industrial belt, situated in Seraikela-Kharsawan.

There are 20 industries, which export its products to the USA, Australia and other European countries.
