Jharkhand govt plans for hi-tech check post at commercial taxes dept

Ranchi, June 25 (KNN) The Jharkhand Government intends to make the check posts of the Commercial Taxes Department stronger at major locations in the state.
In this context, Commissioner, Commercial Taxes Department has invited technical and commercial bids for supply, installation, operation and maintenance support of check-post computerisation for Jharkhand Government.
The work will include supply, delivery, installation, operation & maintenance support of check post hardware and related supplied software for check post computerization and integration with existing commercial tax applications.
The supplier should design the WAN to connect check post to central location at Ranchi.
The supplier will be responsible for designing the technical solution integrating with commercial tax database /application for visual alert outside of the toll booth with red/green lights with automation with the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) software so that the security personnel outside booth can have visual alert in case of database mismatch of registered vehicle or any other fault.
Commercial Taxes Department plays a very significant role in the internal resources mobilisation of the State Government of Jharkhand and accounts for almost 80 per cent of the total internal resources. Soon after the creation of the new state of Jharkhand, the Department of Commercial Taxes was constituted in the State as the premier earner of state revenue. (KNN)
