J&K Govt to do away with most NoCs for ease of doing business

Jammu, Feb 13 (KNN) Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Jammu Manoj Kumar Dwivedi has said that Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) government would do away with a lot of Non Objection Certificate (NoCs) for ease of doing business (EODB).

While speaking in a webinar organised by the ASSOCHAM on “J&K Udyam Registrations” to create awareness among industries about the registration process and its benefits, he said, “I would like to announce from this platform that the existing industries will also be covered in the New Industrial policy, which will be out soon and the government is going to do away with a lot of NoCs for ease of doing business,” Dwivedi said.

He also said that to push the service sector so that more youth can enter and set up business, the government is also including service sectors like hospitals and hotels etc. to MSMEs.

Appreciating the initiative taken by ASSOCHAM, the Commissioner Secretary said, “The Industry bodies like ASSOCHAM are working hand in hand to take the Government initiatives across and I am hopeful that we will get maximum number of registrations”.

Subhah Mehta, General Manager DIC Jammu, apprised the participants that Udyam Registration is free of cost, with no personal interface of the stakeholder with the department.

Manik Batra, Chairman, ASSOCHAM J&K Council said, “Udyam registration is very important for any MSME. Many benefits like collateral free loans, interest subsidy on bank loans and protection against delay in payments to name a few. The RBI has also made it mandatory for the lenders to ensure that their MSME borrowers are registered. ASSOCHAM J&K office is always there to assist all the stakeholders with this registration.
