J&K industries hail state govt for bringing down electricity duty from 22% to 10%

Jammu, Nov 2 (KNN) Federation of Industries, Jammu hailed the state government for reducing the electricity duty by 12 per cent and bringing it down from present 22 per cent to 10 per cent.

“This order will provide great relief to the limping J&K industrial sector and we hope that it will help in attracting more investment in our state which will also generate the avenues for the employment of uneducated youth of our state in industrial sector,” said the Federation.

A meeting was held at BBIA Bhawan in Jammu under the chairmanship of Chairman FOIJ, Rajesh Jain on Saturday.

The members present conveyed their heartiest thanks to state Chief Minister, Mufti Mohd Sayeed; Deputy Chief Minister and Power Minister, Nirmal Singh; Finance Minister, Haseeb Drabu; Industries and Commerce Minister, Chander Parkash and other senior officials of the state government for their efforts.

Co-chairmen FOIJ, Lalit Mahajan, Romesh Badyal, Vinod Rishi, SB Abrol; Convener FOIJ, Rahul Bansal, Viraaj Malhotra, Bansi Lal Gupta, Vijay Sharma, Sanjeev Vig, Ashok Kumar Jain, Sharad Malhotra Executive Committee members Federation of Industries, Jammu also attended the meeting. (KNN Bureau)
