J&K Traders meet concludes in Dubai

The trade leaders met in Dubai for two days on December 16 and December 17 to discuss the problems being faced in the trade.
During the course of discussions, FOIJ raised their concern about the non-inclusion of Items being manufactured in our State in the present list of commodities being allowed to trade which we terms as the diversion from the Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) between Government of India and Pakistan which clearly says the Items Manufactured or Produced in both part of Jammu and Kashmir are eligible for Trade with the identification of 21 Items comprising primary commodities but as on date the majority of Items were traded which were not manufactured or produced in our State due to which the Industrial Sector is neglected for Cross LOC Trade.
Federation of Industries Jammu (FOIJ) also demanded in the meet to open new Trade Routes, particularly the Nowshera - Chammb and Kargil - Skardu trade routes, to expand the scope of Trade for the Industrial Sector of Jammu and Kashmir. (KNN Bureau)
