Joint DGFT, Ludhiana agrees to curate Import Export courses with Industry bodies

Ludhiana, 4 Jan (KNN) Acceding to the request by Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU),  the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) in Ludhiana has agreed to start certified courses on Import Export with industry to help new exporters to understand the finer points of export promotion schemes.

A delegation led by Sarvjit Singh, Co-Convener of CICU Export Promotion Committee and Kanish Kaura, Vice President, CICU had met Suvidh Shah, Joint Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ludhiana.

During the discussion it was pointed out that a large number of Exporters faced problems with regards to new schemes of DGFT like Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI) & other schemes to boost export.  

The delegation suggested that the CICU & DGFT could jointly organize such a course.

The Joint GDFT welcomed the idea and assured that he would always be available for any export promotion activities.

Upkar Singh Ahuja, President and Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU are hopeful that this year will see a boost in the export and decrease the hurdles being faced by the industry.
