Karnataka CM Bommai presides over Women Entrepreneurs Day function; assures support

Bengaluru, 23 Nov (KNN) UBUNTU, the consortia of women entrepreneurs Associations organised an event on Friday observing International women entrepreneurs day at Hotel Lalit Ashoka Bengaluru with Karnataka Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai as chief guest.

Women entrepreneurs associations with their team across country attended the gathering, said official source.

The event saw networking of entrepreneurs exhibiting their products which received an encouraging response.

Ratnaprabha, IAS-former Chief  Secretary to Government of Karnataka and the current president of UBUNTU welcomed the entrepreneurs with enthusiasm.

Priya Puranik, an industrialist based in Belgavi also attended this event with her Unnati and  Parampara team who has been recognised for her contribution towards community and rural women and has been honoured with the same.

From Parampara 12 members participated, as Puranik briefed about her Parampara association activities to Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai.

During her interaction with CM Bommai, she requested him to support rural north Karnataka women entrepreneurs and handed over a sketch of CM Bommai which was curated by Parampara member.

He appreciated the art and assured his support towards women entrepreneurs especially the ones residing in rural north of the state.

The women organisation also saw a hike in business with bulk order received at the event.

Medium and large scale minister Nirani was also present and he appreciated the products of rural women.

The UBUNTU members present at the event were Uma Reddy, Jyoti, Devaki, Sarvamangala, Rajalakshmi and Gayatri.

Bharati, Ripa Desai, Rati, Archana Bhatnagar and presidents from other associations also joined the event.
