Karnataka CM to inaugurate 2nd edition of Smart Asia India-Expo organized by Taiwan in Bangalore

New Delhi, Sept 28 (KNN) Taiwan, the global leader in smart technologies, is once again bringing their smart city solutions in India. Taiwanese Companies coming to Bangalore for the second consecutive year with their smart innovative solutions to facilitate India’s ambitious ‘Smart Cities Mission’.

Initiated by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the second edition of SMART ASIA India-Expo & Summit is being held at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre from October 4 to 6, 2018.

SMART ASIA India 2018 is a B2B trade show that will bring the latest smart solutions to India and will be inaugurated by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri H. D. Kumaraswamy.

The event will bring together industry leaders in the smart city domain to showcase hundreds of smart city solutions, highlighting responses to current urban crises and future smart cities development in India.

Exhibitors from outstanding Taiwanese Companies from the field of ‘Smart Transportation’, ‘Smart Energy & Water management’, ‘Smart City Development & Environmental Sustainability’ and ‘IoT Solutions’ will present solutions catering to the current needs of Indian Industries.

Besides, the expo will showcase the other expertise of Taiwan from several other different fields.

The expo is an opportunity for Taiwan and India both to leverage the comparative advantages that the both the country’s has in their respective fields.

Speakers from across the globe representing India’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Intelligent Transportation Society-Taiwan (ITS-Taiwan), Tata Sons, Cisco, Microsoft, and many more will participate in the “India –Taiwan Smart City summit” and focus on topics including India-Taiwan’s bilateral collaboration on ‘Smart Cities Mission’, leveraging data to realize the Smart Cities vision, and future trends and opportunities in the field of smart city.

Taiwan companies like Advantech, the leader in industrial PC with a global market share of 32%, will display its smart transportation solutions, which can help relieve Bangalore of its traffic congestion.

H.P.B. Optoelectronics, the third largest automotive optoelectronics manufacturer in the world, provides a total image solution using its intelligent camera monitoring modules, and aims to support India in creating more secure city-living.

Moreover, enterprises such as J.S. Power and Fukuta will showcase their e-vehicle solutions, which can serve to empower India toward its goal for green and environmental-friendly mobility.

The whole event aspires to end India’s current challenges from the field from health care to water and energy scarcity.

In order to achieve better integration for the Smart City community, TWTC – a non profit government sponsored trade promotion organization has partnered up with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), ITS-Taiwan, Advanced Public Transportation Research Center (APTRC) in Taiwan, Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME), and World Trade Center Bengaluru (WTC Bengaluru).

FISME, the leading industry body for MSME associations in the country, has been actively involved in promoting trade between India & Taiwan. In the last couple of years FISME has taken several delegations to Taiwan including TIMTOS (Machine Tool Show), Food Taipei, MTDUO (Manufacturing Technology Show) etc.

With regard to this event, FISME held meetings with several associations in Karnataka namely, FKCCI, KASSIA, Peenya Industries Association, Dobbaspet Industries Association, Bidadi Industries Association, Rajaji Nagar Industries Association and many others.

The association has organized meetings in this regard in other parts of the country as well.
