The conference will be inaugurated by Ashwath Narayan C. N, Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.

While congratulating both Karnataka State Higher Education Council and ISDC on organising this conference, Narayan said, “The conference will give all stakeholders a common platform to explore unexplored possibilities, discuss existing challenges, and come up with strategies under one roof.”

“Furthermore, these discussions will enable a comprehensive plan to increase collaboration with international universities using various modes available under the new UGC guidelines. Hopefully, this conference will open many ways towards our goal of internationalising education, “ he said.

Tom Joseph, Executive Director of Strategy & Development at ISDC, said, “Several measures have been identified by NEP 2020 to promote India as a global study destination and for internationalization. These include faculty/student exchanges, facilitating collaborations with foreign universities, signing relevant MOUs with foreign universities, etc. KEIC 2022 will highlight these topics and provide an opportunity for the participants to discuss and elaborate on NEP on Internationalisation of Education in light of the updated UGC Regulations.”

Key topics of discussion at the conference include education beyond borders: the way forward in the context of internationalisation; Building digital infrastructure for global learners; Building a global talent pool; and a VC round table on Creating Universities of the future through partnership working.

The conference will feature eminent speakers and delegates from the government, academia, industry, and foreign universities. (KNN Bureau)
