Karnataka PSU to outsource blast furnace operation to Mangalore

Bengaluru, Apr 29 (KNN) KIOCL, the Karnataka based mini ratna PSU, will be outsourcing operation of a blast furnace (BF) in Mangalore for production of pig iron.
KIOCL Ltd is an Export Oriented Unit (EOU) under the Government of India, Ministry of Steel. The mini ratna company is engaged in the business of manufacture and marketing of high quality iron oxide pellets and foundry grade pig iron.
KIOCL Ltd BF Unit produces foundry grade pig iron with silicon varying between 1.5 to 2.5 per cent.
KIOCL LTD has invited bids for operation and maintenance of their blast furnace unit at Panambur, Mangalore on lease basis.
The Blast Furnace Unit of KIOCL is located in Baikampady Industrial Area of Mangalore. (KNN/SD)
