Karnataka SME Minister meets industry associations to discuss issues faced by MSMEs

Bengaluru, Oct 25 (KNN) The Karnataka Government is all out to discuss problems being faced by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) of the state by interacting with the representatives from various industry associations.

“Minister of Small Scale Industries, Government of Karnataka, S R Srinivas had a substantive interactive meeting with SME Associations at the Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) to discuss the problems and issues concerning the SMEs,” KASSIA said.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of SME Associations from all over the state.

KASSIA said the daylong meeting discussed a number of issues raised by the representatives of industry associations concerning the industrial estates, state of infrastructure, issues connected with public procurement, finance minimum wages, GST etc., thoroughly.

“The Minister who spent nearly 6 hours gave a patient hearing and exchanged information and experiences presented by the Industry representatives,”  it added.

Senior Government officers along with Rajender Kumar Kataria, Secretary to the Government, Commerce & Industries (MSME & Mines) GOK, Gunjan Krishna, Commissioner Directorate of MSMEs, and H.P Prakash, Managing Director, K. S. S. I. D. C. Ltd., were present at the meeting.

Basavaraj S Javali, President, KASSIA, made a presentation before the Minister highlighting various issues that were of concern to the SME Community in the state and sought Minister’s intervention in resolving them.

The Minister in his address assured KASSIA and the associations that the Government would do everything possible to redress the grievances of SMEs so that they are able to operate smoothly in the interest of the economy and development. (KNN Bureau)
