Bangalore, Nov 26 (KNN)  In an effort to fill the information gap of institutional finance available and to address the credit needs of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, the Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) is organising an SME loan mela and awareness programme.

The programme that is scheduled to be held here tomorrow will focus on credit to the MSME sector which has turned out to be a critical input both in terms of quality and quantity, influencing growth and development.

The state Commissioner for Industrial Development and Director of Industries and Commerce, Maheshwar Rao will inaugurate the programme during which representatives from various Banks such as Small Industries Development Bank of India, State Bank of India and Syndicate Bank will make presentations on finance products.

The MSME director will also present schemes under Ministry of MSME like CLCSS, CGTMSE, infrastructure upgradation support etc.

KASSIA is a premier voluntary state level non-government institution of small scale industrialists.  One of its main objectives is to facilitate exchange of information, experience and interest among the small industries.  (KNN/ST)
